Commitment Catch-Up: Javonte Sneed

In late July, talented wide receiver Javonte Sneed of Armowood High School (FL) took a visit to USA. At the time he said he was very impressed, and that must have been the case as he gave the Jaguars his commitment just a few days later.

When asked why he decided to make his decision so early, he had this to say via text:

"Because I felt at home. When I stepped on campus I knew I wanted to be a Jag. It's being a part of something big and making it bigger."

Despite playing at a high school that may very well be the most talented in the United States, and which will no doubt put a lot of recruiter's eyes on him this season, Sneed has no intention of looking around. He has already spurned offers from North Texas and UAB to join the South Alabama program and doesn't see himself getting tempted by anyone else. Instead he will focus on his role in an "awesome" team and try to get better individually also.

"(I want to improve on) everything," he said. "I want to be like Tebow; work hard at everything I do and be the best."

For a program on the rise like USA, this is the attitude they will need to fulfill their potential.
