Mardrecas Hood is a talented wide receiver from Pickens County High School. Hood has had a verbal offer from the University of Alabama for quite sometime. He recently received a written offer from another Alabama school.
"I got a written offer from South Alabama three weeks ago, "Mardrecas Hood said from his home in Reform, (Ala). "I really don't know anything about South Alabama other than they're an upstart program."
"I have been to the campus before, and it is a nice place. I would like to know more about them," Hood stated.
"I still stay in touch with Alabama," Hood said. "I talk to them regularly. They are still recruiting me."
The two Alabama schools are not the only one showing interest in the Pickens County prospect.
"I am hearing from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis, Southern Miss, and Auburn. Ole Miss and Auburn are both recruiting me pretty hard, and they're recruiting me for both basketball, and football," Hood explained.
Mardrecas does not have any plans to attend any more camps this summer.
"I have been working out, and I am ready for the season to get started," Hood concluded.
Hood reports a 16 on his ACT, with plans to retake the test the second week of school.
