Khairi Usher is one of the top rated players in the state of Mississippi, and he has been making noise at several camps this season. He discusses the latest news with JagsJungle.com
"I have offers from ULM and South Alabama," Khairi Usher said from his home in Meridian, (MS).
"I went to ULM for a visit, and they offered me right after the visit," he said.
"I have the offer from South Alabama, but I don't know anything about them. I did not know they were looking at me, until I got an offer in the mail. They had been by a practice and they liked the way I played," Usher stated.
"I haven't heard from either ULM, or South Alabama, in a while."
While South Alabama and the University of Louisiana Monroe are not staying in contact with the Mississippi corner back, a host of other schools is.
"I talk to Coach [Don] Dunn from Auburn every week," Khairi reports. "Auburn likes the way I play consistently. They want to see how I play in the first couple of games this season before they make a decision on an offer."
"Mississippi State is really recruiting me hard. The last time I talked to Coach [Sylvester] Croom he was telling me how they really want me to come there. He asked me to just give them [MSU] a chance."
"Memphis is also staying touch with me. I talk to Coach Pollard over there, and they like the way I play. They are kind of like Auburn; they want to see me play in some games this season before they make their decision.
While Khairi Usher is enjoying his recruitment, he is also growing weary of the process.
"The right offer could end my recruitment today," Usher said.
Khairi Usher has plans to attend two camps before he is finished.
"I have been invited to the LSU camp, and I would like to go over there. In addition, I am going to try to make a camp at Ole Miss. I haven't been there."
