Williams missed five games last season with a knee injury, but his stats do not reflect it.
"I had 110 tackles, 10 for a loss, and three pass break-ups in seven games last season," Chase Williams told JagsJungle.com from his home in Boaz, Ala. "I had 22 tackles in the Fort Payne game."
"My knee is fine, now. I ran my 40 three weeks ago and I ran a 4.65," he reported.
Williams has seen his recruitment begin to take shape over the past month.
"I have been getting a lot of mail, and coaches have been calling my coach and requesting film and transcripts. I have been hearing from Mississippi State, Louisville, Louisiana Tech, Troy, South Alabama, BYU and JSU."
"I would say JSU is recruiting me the hardest right now, with the others all recruiting me about equal. All of them are still calling my coach from time-to-time," Williams stated.
"I have to get offers first, but academics and the engineering school will play a big role in which school I choose to play football," Williams concluded.
