Florida Linebacker/Speedster In The Sights Of USC

You can never have too many linebackers who can cover their territory. And the Gamecock coaches have set their sights on one in particular who can really motor ...

Brandon Siler is another prospect in Florida that can run like the wind. At 6-3 and 215 pounds, he runs the forty in the 4.45 range. He has the perfect frame and speed to be an impact player at outside linebacker on the next level. Siler's Evans team had a 5-4 record last year, but like Siler himself, Evans is poised for a breakout season.

"We had a pretty young team last year," said Siler. "Just about everyone is coming back. I'll be starting at tailback this year as well as linebacker. Schools are recruiting me to play linebacker and tight end. I don't really have any favorite schools yet. I'm really looking forward to the whole process. I'm just looking for somewhere I can benefit in academics and athletics. I guess if I had to name five teams though, they would be USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina."

Siler mentioned academics with good reason. His GPA will rival his forty time by the time he graduates. He is a 4.2 GPA student, and has already scored very well on his SAT. His combination of academic excellence and physical dominance will make him one of the top prospects in the state of Florida for the class of 2004.
