Dixon, who committed to South Carolina earlier this month, says the highlight of his official visit was taking in the Gamecocks' basketball game against Kentucky Saturday night.
"It was great," Dixon said. "It was a great atmosphere. That was my first college basketball game that I've been too, so I liked it.
"I'm going to try to go to the one this weekend. That's how much I liked it. I'm going to try to go to that."
The defensive tackle was also impressed with the presentation Steve Spurrier put on at halftime.
"That was great, he said. "That was great for the football team and the students."
Dixon was also impressed with how much love fellow Rock Hill standout and the nation's top prospect Jadeveon Clowney received from the Gamecock faithful.
"That was crazy," Dixon said. "It was loud. I think he really liked it. He tried to act like he wasn't liking it. I think he's going to come to South Carolina too with us."
Dixon was hosted on the visit by Rock Hill natives Stephon Gilmore and DeVonte Holloman.
"We just hung out. We played video games and stuff. They just were telling me that if I come down there and prove myself and work hard that I can get a starting spot. They were like, 'You know the Rock Hill boys are gonna come down and ball.'"
Dixon, who is completely firm in his commitment to South Carolina, also spent some of him time working fellow official visits Jerell Adams and Phillip Dukes to join him as a Gamecock.
"I just told them they just need to come on in and come down here with us.
"I think they're going to come too."
While he says he learned just about everything about South Carolina on his unofficials, Dixon still enjoyed the trip overall.
"Getting to hang out with the players," he says stood out. "And see what they're like and like about being there."
Dixon also enjoyed his final meeting with Spurrier.
"He was good. I liked it. He said he wanted us to get ready to come down there and get started and win a couple of championship games."
