South Carolina picked up two commitments in the 2012 class Wednesday, a relieving effort for the teammates.

Point guard Ian Baker and wing Carlos Morris gave their pledge together to South Carolina coach Darrin Horn and his staff.

"It felt good man," Morris said. "It felt like I made the right decision."

Morris and Baker both play at Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville, Fla.) and were part of the Dwight Howard Warriors AAU organization the past two summers.

"They've just been there since day, that's really my thing," Morris said of his commitment. "When all the other schools starting recruiting me, they were still there."

Morris is a 6-foot-6 versatile wing who's grown fairly close to his buddy, Baker.

"It feels good to know you are going in there with a situation with someone you already know," Morris said. "We both just want to win."

Before the commitment, Arkansas, Cincinnati and West Virginia were schools that Morris planned to visit, and "West Virginia and Arkansas were on me pretty hard," he said.

South Carolina assistant Mike Boynton was responsible for recruiting both players.

"Just talking to Mike and coach Horn, they sound like they just really wanted me," Morris said. "I'm coming in to play as a freshman, and who wouldn't want that?"

The Apalachicola, Fla. native visited campus last summer and came away impressed.

"The campus looks great, and everything was great," he said. "It felt like home."

Morris rounded his night off on a day where he committed simply relaxed doing what teenagers do — playing PlayStation.

"It's just a lot of weight off my chest," Morris said calmly of the commitment.

There will probably be a lot more PlayStation with his mind eased over the next week before school starts.
