This All-State offensive lineman is receiving major attention from almost every college in the southeast. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound right tackle already has offers in hand from the South Carolina Gamecocks and LSU Tigers. Miami, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Mississippi, Georgia, and Arkansas are just some of the schools close to extending offers.
Percy Huff III of St. Helena high school of Greensburg (La.) graded out at 90-percent and tallied up 38 knockdown blocks. He is outstanding at run and pass blocking. Huff is a three-year starter for head coach Alden Foster.
Huff is currently carrying a 3.7 grade point average. He is undecided on what his major will be in college, but he is certain that academics along with a few other things will play a major factor in which college he picks.
"I'm going to look at academics, the coaches, and the attitudes of the people that go there," Huff said.
Huff is receiving the most attention from the Tigers and Gamecocks, but wants to keep his options open at the present time. He enjoys talking to the recruiting coaches at Louisiana State and South Carolina.
"I like the dude from L.S.U. (He wasn't sure of his name.) I like the dude from South Carolina, too. (Dave Roberts)
Is current Gamecock signee and close friend Stanley Doughty trying to get Huff to join him in Columbia?
"He wants me to go with him. (But) I'm not going to choose a college because my friend goes there. I'm going to choose a college because I want to go there," Huff said.
Huff is unsure of which summer football camps he will attend.
GamecockInsider.Com will keep you updated on Huff throughout the summer.
