Two North Carolina Stand-Outs Speak

These two state of North Carolina stars are beginning to show favorites. And both have been offered by the Gamecocks ...

A wirey 6-3, 185 pounder, Albert Ashcraft ran a 10.6 100 meter race last week and a 4.49 40 times at a combine last weekend. He says that one school stands out currently.

"North Carolina has a really solid lead," he candidly admits. "I do not want to commit until February so I can have some fun with (recruiting)."

Ashcraft's head coach Bobby Cloninger says that fun is something normal to his star back.

"He put together the highlite film that we send out on him. East Carolina only came in here once to watch him and offered that day, so he is something special."

Watch for film on Ashcraft this Friday as part of the Friday Film Session.

A monster on either side of the ball, Forest Hills athlete Marque Hall has several schools interested in his services.

"I like NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Clemson," says the 6-foot-5, 305 pounder of his leaders, all of which have offered. "My top-three would be NC State, North Carolina, and Virginia."

Rumors are circulating that the Wolfpack is the clear leader for Hall, but how true is that rumor?

"They are close."

Marque is now up to 14 offers according to his head coach John Lowery.
