Honors - All-Area, All-County, (HM) All-State in 2002.

Scholarship Offers - Ohio State, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Miami (Ohio), Wake Forest and Tennessee.

Favorites - Pittsburgh, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and South Carolina.

Comments - Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius defensive end Mike Massey is a definite Midwest "Hot 100" prospect and a national "Hot 100" candidate.

Massey will be a three-year varsity starter in 2003. He was a starting defensive end for Ignatius and won a state title as a sophomore.

"My favorites right now are Pittsburgh, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and South Carolina," said Massey.

"I don't have a leader right now but I will say that Pittsburgh is recruiting me the hardest.

"I'm going to camp at Michigan, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame this summer."

Massey had 10 sacks as a junior despite being injured and was named honorable mention all-state. He also letters in basketball.
