Gamecocks Scour Bama For Talent - And Find Him!

The state of Alabama is home to one of the nation's top prep receivers. He has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Louisiana State, and Mississippi State. And other programs such as Michigan are close to extending offers as well ...

Nikita Stover, at six-foot-one, 187-pounds, has exceptional size. He is a deep threat every time he's on the field. Stover's speed (4.45 forty-yard dash) and leaping ability (40 inch vertical) makes for a long night for opposing defensive coordinators trying to find a way to defend him. Stover had an outstanding junior campaign in which he caught 26 passes for 723 yards, and 10 touchdowns. He also returned three kick-offs for 167 yards and one touchdown. He bench presses 260-pounds, 450-pound squat, and power cleans 240-pounds.

Stover spoke to Insiders.Com about his top four.

Alabama: "I liked Mike Price a lot. I'm just going to have to see what they do now without coach Price."

Louisiana State: "The environment down there is real nice."

Michigan: "I grew up a Michigan fan."

South Carolina: "I like their balanced offense, they are supposed to pass it more." (This year.)

Stover is going to base his decision on depth charts, coaching staff, and how they recruit him.

Stover will attend summer football camps at Alabama and the Bowden Camp at Troy State.
