Linebacker Talks About His Camp Experience

One of the most highly touted prospects in the State of South Carolina this year talks about his USC camp experience over the weekend, his roommate, "That dude is good!," and his favorites ...

Robert Ayers of Marlboro County (S.C.) attended the three-day football camp at the University of South Carolina this past week. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker had a great time at the camp and spoke to TheInsiders.Com about the trip.

"It was alright. They had me in a room with Michael Hamlin, that dude is good. He is unbelievable," Ayers said.

Well how did Ayers perform at the camp?

"I think I did good. Going into the camp the coaches knew what I could do, so I was just there to have fun. I had a lot of fun," he said.

Ayers has 16 offers at the current time, but only four of those are in writing. Nebraska, Rutgers, Florida, and Penn State have all offered officially.

How does Ayers feel about the Gamecocks after the trip to Columbia?

"I am a little more interested in South Carolina because of their camp," Ayers said.

Ayers plans to attend a few more one day camps, but no more three-day camps.
