Notre Dame Next On His List

This linebacker/defensive end prospect is drawing more and more attention with every new camp he attends. There is no telling how high he might go by signing day ...

Alonzo Middleton is really starting to show what he is capable of at the summer football camps. He went to the South Carolina one-day camp on this past Saturday and he spoke to GamecockInsider.Com about the experience.

"It was pretty good. Coach Cosh has a nice energy during linebacker drills. There was a segment explaining the NCAA clearing house rules. It was great," said Miiddleton.

Middleton currently has offers from South Carolina, East Carolina, South Carolina State, Elon, and North Carolina A&T. So who are his favorites at this time?

"(South) Carolina is definitely a favorite. It's in state. The coaches are real friendly. I have yet to check out Carolina's academic part of the school. Everytime I've been to Carolina it's been for a football type of function. East Carolina because they offered. Coach Stockstill has always recruited my area pretty hard.

Middleton named some schools that he would like to see recruit him harder.

"North Carolina, I had a pretty good camp there. Florida, Notre Dame, Georgia, and North Carolina State."

Middleton spoke about his plans for the summer.

"The next camp will be at Notre Dame. I hope to have a good showing there. The last camp should be Georgia unless I decide to go somewhere else," Middleton said.

Middleton's knee injury has fully healed, so expect him to receive more offers over the summer and into his senior season.
