Martin pursuing Glass

After accepting the job to be South Carolina's next basketball coach, Frank Martin wasted no time hitting the recruiting trail for some of the top unsigned players in the 2012 class.

Georgia's Tevin Glass was among those to receive interest from Martin.

"Coach Martin just called Friday," Glass said. "He said he's coming to watch me workout Friday and meet me."

Glass, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound forward, recently won a state championship with national-power Milton High School. He's received interest from a variety of schools after a successful senior year, where he averaged a double-double.

"I'm looking at all the schools on the internet - which ones have players graduating and leaving for the league, and I'm looking at playing opportunities."

The suitors that are recruiting the forward are South Carolina, Auburn, Memphis, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Colorado State, Xavier, Florida State, Murray State, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville and Tennessee State, according to Glass.

"South Carolina, Memphis, FSU, Auburn, Murray St. and Colorado St. are on me the Hardest," He said.

Glass Doesn't have any visits set up as far as dates, but he knows he'll trip to Memphis and South Carolina soon. It's possible that a date could be mapped out Friday when he meets with Martin.

"I think he's a real good coach," Glass said of Martin. "He turned around Kansas State. He's a strict coach, but he gets you in line, keeps things in order."

Glass doesn't know precisely when he wants to make a decision, but he knows that when the feeling is right, he will pop.

"I have no time table," he said. "Just whenever the time is right."
