Georgia QB Excels At SC Camp

Cullen Harper of Sequoyah (Ga.) is starting to receive some well-deserved attention from college recruiters. He will be entering his second season as a starter. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder completed 64-percent of his passes for over a 1,000 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. Harper has received offers from Clemson, Middle Tennessee State, and Duke.

Harper attended the South Carolina one-day camp on Saturday and put on an impressive display, but will it earn him an offer from the Gamecocks? He spoke to about the camp and that he thought of the Gamecock program.

"It went pretty well. I liked it a lot, the facilities were really nice, the coaches seemed to be very nice, and it seems like a great place to play football."

So did Harper's performance earn him an official offer from the Gamecock coaches?

"They said they were probably going to offer, but will definitely would know by the end of this week," Harper stated.

South Carolina's camp has definitely caught his attention, because they are among his top four at this time.

"Right now, Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, and South Carolina, not in any order," Harper said.

Harper plans to make a decision before his senior season. Things could change quickly if Georgia offers Harper; his Father played for their National Championship team.

Harper spoke about his plans for the rest of the summer.
