South Carolina's offensive line recruiting has taken a major step forward in the last couple of years under the direction of coach Shawn Elliott.
That trend continued Saturday when the Gamecocks landed Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.) OT J.P. Vonashek. Vonashek was on campus for an unofficial visit today and spent that entire time with Elliott, according to a source.
Vonashek, ranked the No. 40 OT in the country by Scout, also had offers from Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
The 6-foot-6, 275 pound three-star prospect was at one time considered a Georgia lean.
