Ohio Quarterback Narrows It Down

Brian Hoyer of St. Ignatius (OH) is a very accurate, smart, and tough quarterback. During his junior campaign he passed for 2,130 yards and 20 touchdowns. The 6-foot-4 195-pound signal caller is receiving strong interest from South Carolina, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Michigan, and Maryland. Hoyer has received offers from Michigan State, South Carolina, and Maryland.

Hoyer spoke about his playing style and what he does best.

"I can make any throw I have to. I'm more of a drop back quarterback. I only move around when I have to."

A couple of weeks ago Hoyer took a trip to South Carolina. TheInsiders.com caught up with Hoyer to talk about the trip.

"I liked it a lot. I like the facilities. The campus was awesome. It (Stadium) looks like an NFL stadium. They didn't offer on the trip but a couple of weeks after they did."

Michigan State, South Carolina, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, and Michigan are his favorite schools. He spoke about the criteria a college must meet if they should sign him and his time frame for a commitment.

"I want to fit in as a social aspect. I want to know that I like it there. I want to major in business or pre-law. If it's possible, I want to get it out of the way before my senior season. I want to focus on winning the State Championship."

Hoyer has a 3.3 grade point average scored a terrific 1130 on the SAT. He is fully qualified.
