Gamecock priority talks recruitment

It's no secret that South Carolina has made Florida big man Demetrius Henry a priority in the 2013 class.

The big man from Faith Baptist Christian has plenty of schools on his tail that have been tracking him leading up to his senior season. Henry remains wide open, but he plans to cut down his list at the conclusion of the AAU season as July closes out.

Schools that the 6-foot-9 big mentioned were South Carolina, Memphis, Miami, USC, Mississippi State, USF, Kansas State, Illinois and Cincinnati. Though, it isn't certain what exactly Henry wants to do, he does know that the Gamecocks stand firm with him.

"It's great," he said of the recruitment. "(Head coach) Frank Martin and (assistant) Lamont Evans are in touch with me (as much as they can be) or when they have the chance to be in touch with me. So, it's definitely a great relationship."

Henry has no visits lined up currently, but that's another thing he wants to whittle down over the next couple of weeks in August.

But will South Carolina be in the mix after he cuts it all down? "Definitely."
