Willie Young of Palm Beach (FL) is an extremely quick pass rusher from his defensive end position. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder racked up 60 tackles, 15 for loss, and nine sacks. Young has a 250-pound bench and a squat of 405-pounds. He has a 34-inch vertical leap.
The word is out on Young as many of the top programs in the nation have offered: South Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Central Florida, East Carolina, North Carolina State, Georgia, Nebraska, Wake Forest, Auburn, and Florida are his most current offers. So where do things stand with potential All-Star?
"I'm glad I have the opportunity to go anywhere I want. I'm just trying to narrow it down to a top ten or five soon. It's pretty much a personnel decision. Distance is not a factor, where ever I make my decision to go I'll go. I'm going to take all my visits first and it will be a last minute decision."
Young's older brother, Champ Slaughter, plays basketball for Eastern Kentucky. He will help give advice to Young on what to look for in a college. He is planning major in veterinary medicine.
