Rodgers has a leader

Three-star offensive lineman Na'Ty Rodgers has a leader. Find out who in this update from

Na'Ty Rodgers has been working hard to get ready for his senior season.

The three-star offensive lineman from Pomfret, Maryland has been working on his speed and technique in order to better prepare him for the rigors of this upcoming football season.

That's not the only thing he's been working on.

His recruiting is starting to take shape as Rodgers has South Carolina in front as the team to beat to land his commitment in the near future. Maryland and Arkansas are tied in the number two position according to Rodgers.

South Carolina is my number 1 and then Arkansas and Maryland are tied at 2.

When asked what he liked most about the Gamecocks, Rodgers replied:

"The coaching staff and the fact that they are on the rise. I want to be a part of something great and do something that has never been done before. I'd rather win with a team that has never done it before instead of going to a school like Alabama or LSU who is always in the picture of a BCS national championship."

A big reason for the Gamecocks current lead right now is South Carolina's offensive line coach, Shawn Elliott. He has a developed a great relationship with Rodgers.

"It's great. It's to the point now were it's not just about football when we talk, it's about family and just building a relationship and getting to know each other."

As far as official visits go, Rodgers plans to visit South Carolina, Maryland and Arkansas and will likely have a decision made once that's done.

Whatever team is lucky enough to sign Rodgers is getting themselves a talented lineman with a team-first mentality.

"I'm a versatile linemen that does not have any problems filling a spot anywere guard, tackle, or center and just wants to come in and help the team in any way I can."
