South Georgia Athlete Has 1st Two Offers

He has been a standout at several camps this summer. And he has picked up his first two offers with more on the way ...

Ware County High School, defensive back Leodis McKelvin made a name for himself at the Georgia senior camp a week ago. He turned in a 4.35 40 time at 5'11 and 170lbs. We caught up with the South GA star once he returned from Athens, and he gave us a leaderboard for his services.

"I like Georgia Tech, Florida State, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Louisville, Georgia, and Alabama."

The Yellow Jackets and Cardinals have offered him so far, and both are at the top of his list. He also mentioned the Georgia Bulldogs as a team who will get an official visit as well.

We asked McKelvin what his goals for the upcoming season were, and this is what he said.

"I want to be first team and All-State, and compete for the State Championship."

Leodis McKelvin is a name on the rise in the Peach State for 2004. He will definitely be one to keep a keen eye upon throughout this year.
