Eddie Royal of Westfield (VA) is one of the fastest prospects in the country. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder is currently sitting on offers from Marshall and Kent State. Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Syracuse, and South Carolina are all showing interest at this time. TheInsiders.com caught up with Royal to get an update on his status.
"I'm interested in Marshall, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Syracuse, and South Carolina. I'm interested in any school recruiting me. I want to give each school an equal opportunity, so I'm going to decide after my visits. The overall decision is mine, but I want my family to agree with it. "
Royal spoke about what stands out about the teams he is looking at.
Marshall: "I've got a chance of early playing time. They have a passing offense. My brother Chris plays there. My mom could watch both of us play."
Virginia: "I like the environment, coaching staff, and the fact that they are a team on the rise."
Virginia Tech: "I like the fact that their campus is close to home. I also like their coaching staff and campus."
Syracuse: "I haven't taken a visit there, but I feel like I could fit in with their coaching staff. They are more of a running team though."
Tennessee: "I like their winning tradition, location, and their game atmosphere."
South Carolina: "I like their coaching staff. I like what I'm am hearing about all the stuff they are doing with their facilities."
Royal attended the Virginia camp and the Nike camp in Blacksburg.
As always TheInsiders.com will keep you updated on Eddie Royal's status all the way until Signing Day.
