“It’s been going great, thank God to give me plenty of chances to become greater by the day,” Whitlow said.
The defensive end certainly has a good head on his shoulders and was a standout his junior year. He finished with 43 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks, and this year will be no different.
The Opelika, Ala.-native stands at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and says he’s gotten bigger through his workouts.
Whitlow notes he chats with Linebacker/Spurs coach Kirk Botkin just about every day, and the Opelika high school all-star plans to visit the Palmetto State very soon.
“I’m leaving this Friday to attend the showcase camp on Sunday.”
But, that’s not all he’s looking forward to in Carolina.
“I’m excited for everything; my education first and having the ability to play with the top team in the country,” noted Whitlow.
When asked if anything had changed since his commitment, the three-star’s comment was one to make any garnet and black fan proud.
