2016 WR Keith Gavin Commits to Florida State

Wakulla 2016 wide receiver has committed to his dream school, adding another top prospect to the Seminoles' class of 2016.

Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla 2016 wide receiver Keith Gavin pledged his commitment to Florida State this morning. He has double digit offers including Clemson, Florida, South Carolina, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, and Georgia. Gavin grew up loving the Seminoles and made it very clear they are the team for him.

“It has always been my dream to go there,” Gavin said. “I’m ready to seal the deal.”

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Gavin plays both outside linebacker and wide receiver in high school, but says that Florida State is recruiting him at wide receiver.

He spoke very highly about Florida State and why he wanted to commit to the Seminoles.

“I like their educational programs and the coaching staff has really made me feel at home,” said Gavin. “Coach Fisher is a great coach and has big plans in store for me. I love the way that Florida State likes to pass the ball and I think I fit in to the offense very well.”

“It has always been my dream to go there,” Gavin said. “I’m ready to seal the deal.”

Gavin has visited the Seminoles twice in the last two days and got to talk with the coaches during that time.

“It was great. I got to stay for a while and talk to the coaches for a good little bit,” Gavin said. “The coaches were saying how they were ready to watch me play. They’re expecting big things out of me this season.”

Gavin says that he doesn’t plan on taking any other visits at this time. He is the No. 185 player overall in the 2016 Scout 300.
