St. Louis makes the call

The Miami Hurricanes landed offensive tackle prospect Tyree St. Louis yesterday. He's a three-star offensive lineman from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.

Offensive tackle Tyree St. Louis made the call today and gave his pledge to Al Golden and the University of Miami. St. Louis is one of a handful of high level D-1 offensive line prospects in the 2015 class from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy.

“The main reason I committed to Miami was [offensive line] Coach [Art] Kehoe – he’s the best in the business, and I know playing under him will give me a great shot at getting to the next level,” St. Louis said. “It’s been a great process and I’ve been to some great places, seen great facilities and met some great people, but my recruitment has come to a close with the University of Miami.”

St. Louis, 6-foot-5, 302-pounds, is entering his second season at IMG. He was previously at Tampa Bay Tech.

“Tyree is a long athletic tackle with great feet, and he has developed into one of the premier tackles in the class of 2015,” said Coach Chris Weinke, IMG’s coach. “He is a natural pass setter with a huge wingspan. Miami is getting a great player and exceptional young man.”

Prior to making his verbal commitment, St. Louis fielded earned more than 20 Division-I offers. He committed to Miami over teams like Florida, Tennessee and Mississippi State.

His teammate, Evan Mallory, committed to Cincinnati on Monday. He plays guard. The opposite tackle to St. Louis, Mirko Jurkovic, committed to Nebraska earlier this month.

St. Louis is the No. 74 ranked offensive tackle in the nation.
