Dozier sets official visit to Louisville

The University of Louisville made the list of five schools that remain in the mix for South Carolina standout guard Perry Dozier. The Cardinals will get the first visit on Aug. 31 from Dozier, who will take all five official visits before making a decision.

Columbia, S.C., Spring Valley guard Perry Dozier has narrowed his list to five schools and has set up three official visits.

And the Louisville Cardinals are on both of those shorts lists on this Friday.

The 6-foot-6 Dozier, who became a priority for U of L coach Rick Pitino and his staff this summer, are on the list of five schools along with North Carolina, Georgetown, Michigan and South Carolina.

Dozier told that he would visit U of L on Aug. 31, UNC on Sept. 6 and Georgetown on Sept. 13. He will set up the visits to the other two schools at a later date.

As a junior, Dozier missed his entire high school season after suffering a torn ACL. He came back in late spring and made strides, garnering a ton of attention in July.

U of L had offered a scholarship before his injury and Pitino and staff "really picked it up," according to Dozier in July.

“I could tell they were really going to jump on me really hard and try to recruit me,” Dozier told IC. “They were almost at all my games in July. They gave out a really good vibe.”

A four-star, Dozier is ranked as the No. 51 prospect in the Class of 2015.
