Another SC-Native Added to C/O 2015

Monday was a busy day for South Carolina prospects. The University of South Carolina landed Summerville-native Zack Bailey early in the morning, and later that evening, Columbia-native A.C. Flora High School Kicker Joseph Charlton joined the class of 2015 Gamecock roster.

Special teams coach Joe Robinson now has a new addition to his team. 6-foot-4, 185 pound kicker Joseph Charlton was drawing attention even before his senior season.

Scout’s Chad Simmons was able to interview head coach at A.C. Flora Reggie Shaw on Charlton previously.

“Joseph has a very strong leg," said Shaw. "He is a young man that can kickoff, kick field goals, and punt. He is a weapon for us and he is a college prospect.”

A strong leg will be much needed on this Carolina team in the years to come.

Robinson was so impressed with Charlton, he offered him a scholarship. Even current kicker Elliott Fry from Texas came to the Palmetto State without a scholarship offer, but earned one his freshman year.

South Carolina is currently ranked 2nd in the nation with its class of 2015, and will keep you updated on prospects committing in the future.
