Vick setting visits
Four-star shooting guard LeGerald Vick was one of the fastest risers on recruiting boards in the class of 2015 during July. Vick, who is an excellent athlete, showed more skill than ever running with Team Thad, and stepped up his game. Now the offers are flowing in and visits are being set. “At the beginning of the summer I was steady and then July came and I just started to play better and was more aggressive,” said Vick of his summer. At around 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds, Vick has the athleticism and shooting ability that colleges look for, and it led to a host of new offers. Arkansas, Florida State, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Western Kentucky, Wichita State, and South Carolina have all thrown their hat in the ring with offers. In terms of visits, Vick said, “I know I will visit Florida State, Cincinnati, and Arkansas.” One of his first visits will be to Florida State, and Vick is hoping to learn about the school. “I don’t know a lot about Florida State, but I know it is a good program and the coaches seem like great guys,” explained Vick. Also Arkansas is a system that definitely appeals to Vick. “Arkansas kind of plays like my AAU team plays, which is fast, noted Vick. “I think it is a style that fits me and it is close to home.” When it comes to Cincinnati, Vick said, “I have a good relationship with their coaches and it seems like a good school for me.” One school working hard to get a visit is Mississippi State, and Vick says he likes the coaches. “I have a strong relationship with Mississippi State,” noted Vick. “They have a great staff and they have been recruiting me real hard.” There is no specific timeframe for a commitment from Vick who is viewed as the No. 35 shooting guard in the country.
