South Carolina: 2016 Top 10 Hot List

The class of 2016 is filled with talented football players, and South Carolina has been hard on the recruiting trail. Find out who some of the Gamecocks top 2016 prospects are in the 'Top 10 Hot List'.


-Avery McCall: This four-star Palmetto State-native is someone to keep on a very close radar watch. McCall took a visit to Columbia at the Gamecocks showcase camp back in July and has South Carolina in his top five.

-Brandon McIlwain: Another quarterback prospect, the Newtown, Pa.-local has trimmed his list down to six, and the Gamecocks are in the running. The four-star has family in the Palmetto-State and a “homey” feel could be a factor in his choosing.


-Bryan Edwards: A four-star wide receiver, Edwards was in Columbia back in July to visit. Before his visit, he had Clemson at the top of his list. The Palmetto State-native has other offers from Florida, Duke, and Virginia Tech.


-Isaac Nauta: spoke with this four-star recently, and South Carolina was a definte front-runner for the Georgia-native. He’s planning on taking a visit to the Georgia vs. South Carolina game in Columbia this season.


-Javon Kinlaw: A Goose Creek, S.C.-native, Kinlaw has mapped out a couple of Gamecock football games to go to this season. The four-star holds his only offer from South Carolina, thus far, and ranks 15th in his position on


-Rashan Gary: A very humble star-athlete, Gary is a five-star on and ranked first over all in the nation for the class of 2016. The New Jersey-native noted at The Opening that South Carolina is coming in hard on the recruiting trail. This would be a huge addition to the class of 2016 for the Gamecocks.


-Janarius Robinson: A four-star defensive end from Panama City, Fla., the Bay Senior High School standout has noted South Carolina has been dedicated in the recruitment process.


-Dedric Mills: This Waycross, Ga.-native is a three-star on and has another offer from Auburn. He will be one to keep you eye on this year.


-Mecole Hardman: The four-star Elberton, Ga.-native earned his South Carolina offer, after taking a visit to camp in Columbia in late July. He slated the Gamecocks are right up there with schools like Clemson and Tennessee. He’s ranked 17th in his position on

-John Broussard: Naming South Carolina in his top six, this four-star Alabama-gem will be one to watch for in the future.
