“We just have a special connection. I don’t know what it is,” stated Jones.
The wide receiver had a career-high 113 yards receivingwith two touchdowns.
“We are both smart on the football field, and we know where each other is going to be,” noted Jones. “We know what each other is thinking.”
The friendship dates back to an old high school rivalry. For these two Gamecocks, the connection goes beyond the football field.
“It’s more than football with Dylan. I know we are different races, but I see him as my brother honestly. I mean I can go to him about any situation”
Jones spoke with the media on the upcoming East Carolina game and the current status of the offense.
With a new game-plan, Jones and the offense seem positive coming into Saturday.
“I’m so confident in this team,” stated the senior. “Coach Spurrier does everything in his power after a loss to make changes and get it right for the next week.”
