As one of the top teams in the state of South Carolina, Union High is known for excellent talent, and defensive tackle Bryon Bishop has plenty of it. With three offers, he has two teams on top.
"Things are still the same, but if I had to say who leads, it would be either North Carolina or South Carolina," says the 6-foot-3, 285 pounder. "I had planned on committing early, but it now depends on how the season goes."
Certainly an interesting philosophy, but if he replicates the stats from his junior year, in which he had 60 tackles and six sacks, the season should go well. So what exactly is the plan?
"If I have a bad season, I want to commit early to secure a spot with one of these teams. If I have a good season, I want to wait and see who ends up offering."
There is not specific team from which Bishop would like to hear. He says that he just wants to earn more offers and visit those schools. As for the five on his list, Clemson, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina, Bishop has yet to set up any visits.
"I have been getting ready for the season, so I have not had time to set up a visit. Like I said, I just wanted to have a good year and see who offers."
