The University of South Carolina has announced that the South Carolina vs. Louisiana Lafayette football game on Saturday, August 30th, in Columbia will be televised on a pay-per-view basis. Game kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM Eastern.
The announcing team for the game telecast includes Mike Morgan handling play-by-play duties with former Gamecocks Phil Petty and George Rogers as analysts.
Cable systems across the state of South Carolina are scheduled to carry the telecast provided by Gamecock Sports Properties. Fans should contact
their local cable system to order the game and receive price information. Residential C-band dish owners may order the game by calling 1-800-887-8277 beginning Monday, August 25th, 2003. The game will also be available on the Dish Network on channel 458. No phone orders will be taken for the Dish Network subscribers. Subscribers should simply tune to the channel
prior to kick-off on game-day and, using their remote control, follow the instructions on the screen.
Rules and Guidelines regarding pay-per-view telecasts:
*The telecast is available only in the state of South Carolina to participating cable systems and home satellite owners. Not all cable systems in the state of South Carolina may have the event available.
*Southeastern Conference rules prevent the game from being made available to fans outside the state of South Carolina, except for official alumni groups which have been approved by the University. There are no other exceptions to this rule. Official alumni groups should contact the South Carolina alumni office at 1-800-476-8752 to receive approval. Cost per alumni group is $225.
*Dish Network satellite owners only in the state of South Carolina may subscribe to the game. This is the only small dish service that has the telecast available.
