Only One Instate School For Mr. Frosty

Mack Frost, the Spring Valley defensive end being heavily recruited by Skip Holtz of South Carolina, talks about his top five heading into the meat of the recruiting season ...

Many schools have already offered Spring Valley (SC) defensive end Mack Frost, but he has now narrowed his list to five schools.

"I narrowed it to Virginia, Maryland, Auburn, South Carolina, and probably NC State," says the 6-foot-5, 230 pounder. "I have visits set to Maryland (12/12) and UVa (1/23)."

Frost is talking about dates with the other schools, and wants to take all his visits after the season is over.

"The ones I can do are probably in January. I have to take the SAT on Dec 6th and I don't think that I can take any visits after the Maryland visits in December."

Without having spoken with anyone about what to look for on his visits, has his own ideas.

"I want to see just how the players feel about the school and the education. What's around the campus, and the environment around the school."

When could we see Frost make a commitment?

"I will probably wait until after the Virginia visit; that'll be the last one."

After a rough start to the season, Spring Valley is beginning to right the ship and head towards the playoffs.

"We're starting to get back. We have 3 seniors and the rest are sophomores and freshmen on defense. The junior class that we had were the ones that were the ones that got kicked off the team."
