One of the premier defensive prospects in the state of South Carolina, Dorrel Scott last spring had seen much of interest come from the midwest. Now, this fall the shift to the east has taken place with offers from a few ACC and SEC powers.
"I know Dorrel has offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Florida, Maryland, Alabama, and North Carolina," said Head Coach Kirk Burnett. "He has not set any official visits to this point, but we plan to sit down and do so after the season around Thanksgiving. Right now, he is completely wide open and is not favoring anyone."
So have midwest programs, such as Iowa and Nebraska, continued to show interest in Dorrel?
"Both schools stopped by last spring, but I don't believe they've ever offered. We still receive a lot of paperwork from both schools. If they are afraid he isn't worth checking out; like I said he is completely wide open and with offers from the likes of Florida that should certainly speak out."
