Kenny O'Neal has busted onto the California high school scene this season by simply dominating his opponents on the football field. We caught up with the speedy wide receiver to see just how things have been going for him and to discuss his future plans.
"my team right now is 5-2. We started off slow but we're coming around," said O'Neal. "As for me, I've caught 20 balls and scored 14 TDs. I also have two other touchdowns on kick returns."
With stats like that O'Neal is usually the most dangerous thing to hit the football field on any given Friday. His opponents have quickly learned of the South Georgian transplant and have devoted their full attention to stopping him.
"I usually get the other guy's star player, even if he is a running back or whatever. If that doesn' work they start double-teaming me."
So what five lucky teams have made his current list?
"Florida, USC, Texas, Oregon and South Carolina are my final five. Texas is the only school that hasn't offered me."
Kenny has yet to set any official visits but he plans to visit all of his finalists. He will announce his choice on national signing day.
