Prpgression Of A Young Man's Mind:

August 6 - On South Carolina: "They are my leader, and right now I plan to go to South Carolina, but I still want to wait until after the season to really decide. It does not look too good for the other schools, but I want to take official visits to the other schools to check on them and you never know what will happen."

The teams on Thompson's short list of visitation include North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Virginia. James would like to visit during the season, but he also would like to focus on the upcoming season.

Oct 26 - After Visit To Clemson: "I got to talk with Coach Swinney, Coach West and Coach Bowden. They told me they really want me to come to Clemson. They told me I could see a lot of early playing time."

Does the prize recruit still list the Gamecocks as his leader? "No, not right now," stated Thompson. South Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson and Georgia are the favorites for the powerful lineman at this point.

November 19 - Update: "I haven't set any visits yet but I know I want to visit Clemson, South Carolina and North Carolina," said offensive lineman James Thompson. "I have taken unofficial visits to all three. I'm also thinking about visiting Maryland and North Carolina State. All of the schools I'm considering have offered. I'll probably make my decision on Signing Day."
