Two Former Gamecocks Have Big Sundays

Two former Gamecocks turn it on and have a big Sunday in the NFL's Baltimore. Was it some sort of Gamecock connection? ...

Perhaps they heard the moans from their former fans wishing there was this kind of passing game in Columbia this past Saturday? These two teamed up for a cause for a different kind of bird.

Former Gamecock and current Raven's WR Marcus Robinson caught seven passes for 131 yards and four touchdowns Sunday. When he is timing his leaps right, he is nearly unstoppable in the end zone ... especially when those passes are being delivered by a former teammate it seems.

Former Gamecock Anthony Wright had what can only be describe as a storybook day on Sunday. First the Ravens quarterback leads the team back from a 17 point fourth quarter defecit in a must win game. Then, after the game, Wright rushed home to take his wife Nicole to the hospital where labor was induced at 8:00 Sunday night for the couple's second daughter, Trinity. Earlier in the day, the then expecting father had a career day, completing twenty of 37 passes for career highs of 319 yards and four touchdowns, all of them to his former University of South Carolina teammate Marcus Robinson.

"This is something that you dream of," said Wright, holding back tears as his voice cracked at his news conference after the game. "This is something that you write in books. This is something you think would never happen to you. For us to come back and win this game was unimaginable."
