"It went well. I liked it and had a good time," says the 5-foot-11, 185 pounder who was named a JCFootball.com JC Top 101 selection in 2003. "I hung out with some of the fellas, saw the campus, and got to learn about the players," said Jonathan Joseph after his visit to Gainesville.
Certainly the players on the team would not be the sole issue with which the Gators would attempt to woo him away from the Gamecocks.
"They're losing all four starters in the secondary and they signed a freshman cornerback and a JUCO defensive back last year. They are trying to bring me in to be a starter, but I know I have to earn it. They aren't just going to give it to me."
Would Joseph still consider himself committed?
"I don't know right now. I'm going down for a visit this Friday and I'll see where we stand after that."
