He Likes Lou's Tradition

He plays both FS and WR for Kingsland Camden County and has led them to a 13-0 record and a berth in the semifinal game against Newnan. He has 30 tackles/3 picks/2 FR and 14 rec/204 yds/3 TDs, but most schools are recruiting him for FS - and he says he "likes Lou Holtz's tradition" ...

Djay favors Georgia Tech slightly over South Carolina, Clemson, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt and all have offered. He also has offers from Duke and East Carolina.

He'll be visiting Georgia Tech this weekend (12/12) and says the coaches will visit him at home next week. "They have a pretty good program and I like the coach. It's in-state and only like five to six hours away. Also, they have a really good education," says Jones.

Djay Jones childhood faves were Georgia and Florida, but neither are recruiting. "Georgia hasn't offered but I've talked with the coaches a few times. Florida isn't recruiting me."

Vanderbilt is recruiting Djay the hardest. "They call and spend the most time talking to me. They are really high on me." But Wake Forest has already visited Djay at home on 12/9 and apparently the Demon Deacons are recruiting him for both FS and WR, the only school to do so.

"I like the coaches at South Carolina. Coach Holtz is great and I like his tradition. They have a really good defense too."

Djay says he won't decide until after he takes his official visits. "I want to make sure I get along with the coaches and that I go somewhere I'd like even if I weren't playing football."
