SC Native Inks LOI With South Carolina

Outstanding cover-corner originally out of Rock Hill signs with the Gamecocks ...

Coffeyville (KS) defensive back Jonathan Joseph has signed his letter-of-intent and is sticking with his original team.

"I signed with South Carolina this morning," says Joseph. "It was a tough decision because of the coaching changes at South Carolina. I didn't know who would be coaching me at first but Coach (Lou) Holtz explained the situation to me. Both schools had a need at my position but I just felt more comfortable with South Carolina. Getting closer to home again was important to me, too."

Joseph will be counted on to contribute to the new Gamecock secondary under the tutledge of highly thought of new coach Ron Cooper.

Jonathan is a dominating cornerback prospect who played his high school ball at Rock Hill Northwestern (SC) before enrolling at Coffeyville CC in Kansas. He has blazing 4.32 speed and excellent cover skills.

Joseph will enroll early at South Carolina and thus will be afforded the opportunity to participate in winter workouts and spring drills.
