"My visit to South Carolina was pretty good," said offensive lineman Josh Winchell. "I liked everything about it. I really liked Coach (Lou) Holtz. I was feeling like I wanted to commit before my visit and now I really like South Carolina."
Winchell understands that a late Signing Day decision could limit his choices. He has other visits set but it could go either way as to whether he takes all of them.
"Right now, I'm planning on taking my visits to Arkansas, Memphis and Nebraska," said Winchell. "I would really like to reach a decision by the middle of this month but I might wait until all of my visits are over."
The instate schools are not on his official visit list. Nonetheless, Winchell says they are still under consideration.
"I'm still looking at Mississippi State and Ole Miss," said Winchell. "I don't need to take official visits there because they are close enough to take unofficial visits."
