Montario Hardesty Profile
The New Bern (NC) star running back is enjoying the attention. "I'm just taking it all in," says Hardesty. He should enjoy it because he has received tons of attention from schools along the East Coast and up in the midwest.
He has heard from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Clemson, UNC, Maryland, Penn St., Michigan, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida State.
Hardesty has two offers with more on the way. UNC and NC State, both of the major instate schools, have offered early with the hope of keeping the speedster in the Tarheel state on signing day next season.
Border state school Virginia also appears to be hot on his heels, although they have not offered a scholarship as of yet. "Last year I got a letter from Coach Brown every Thursday before ball games telling me good luck," said Hardesty.
South Carolina and Clemson, on his border to his south, are expected to and will offer as well soon in all likelihood.
The 6'1 180 pound star running back for New Bern, had a stellar junior campaign racking up 1,917 yards and 19 touchdowns, all while leading the Bears to the state title game against national power Charlotte (NC) Independence.
