The first MSL/ Combine Clinic was held earlier this month in San Diego, Calif. The next one is March 6 and 7 at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tenn. "This is an exciting development for our users because MSL goes where no other combine has gone at this level," said Jamie Newberg, national recruiting editor at "Not only do we get an athletic profile of all the participating prospects, we will have access to videos of the combines – and they literally film everything. Plus, theirs are NFL-style combines, coached by former NFL players and coaches."

The MSL Combine Clinics are free of charge for top seniors and are instructional evaluation events with a twist. Like others, they provide a sophisticated level of athletic talent measurement including height, weight, speed, strength, quickness, agility, balance and body control. But unique to the MSL Combine Clinics are the inclusion of psychological and character evaluations - defining the person within the athlete. The detailed data collected at the MSL Combine Clinics will be made available to recruiters from the college and professional ranks.

"Our mission is to take this program for students from promise to prominence," said Johne' Battle, director of the MSL Combines. "We are the only combine clinic that is designed to give college coaches a better evaluation tool for student athletes."

The MSL Combine Clinic is a one-day event with two days at every location. MSL plans to have two separate batches of participants – one on Saturday and one on Sunday of every clinic. All results will be distributed to interested college football programs and all events will be video taped.

"Our goal is to make the world smaller for coaches and opportunities limitless for the student athletes," said Shawn Garrity, founder of MSL Management.

MSL has an outstanding core of coaches for their combine clinics. Two of the best are Roger Theder and Chuck Muncie. Theder is a former head coach at Cal. and former assistant coach in the NFL. He is widely regarded as one of the top quarterback coaches in America and he recently has tutored Kyle Wright (Miami), T.C. Ostrander (Stanford), Drew Olson (UCLA), Sam Keller (Arizona State), and Trent Edwards (Stanford) as well as NFL standout Jeff Garcia (San Francisco) and former NFL greats Doug Williams and Dan Fouts.

Muncie is a former NFL great and All-Pro with the San Diego Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals. "MSL Combines has proven to me that there is no better opportunity for an athlete to have a video documentation of their skills and abilities," said Muncie. "Plus, MSL provides a chance for those players to compare their skills with other athletes and be viewed on line by participating universities of MSL services that offer athletic and academic scholarships."
