Wide Receiver Eyeing The Gamecocks

Another week, another new offer. At least that is what it seems like for Lawndale (N.C.) Burns wide receiver who recently added two scholarships the past two weeks to his ever growing offers list that now totals seven ...

Josh Briscoe

"Tennessee sent me a FedEx last Wednesday (with an official scholarship offer enclosed)," stated Briscoe. "I called Coach Bobo from UGA and he asked me what my GPA and SAT score was. I told him and he said that their receiver coach said that if I had the grades to offer me, and he did."

Duke, N.C. State, South Carolina, Virginia, and Nebraska round out the remainder of Briscoe's tendering schools. However, the 6-foot-3 170-pounder still remains completely wide open.

"I don't have any favorites right now," remarked Briscoe. "Well I can say that the schools that have offered are my leaders as of now, but as of a favorite, I don't have one."

Despite the possibility of more offers to flow in, Briscoe is about ready to close the spring chapter of his recruitment and focus more on preparation for his senior season.

"Well, it's settling down right now," Briscoe said. "I haven't decided where/if I'm going anywhere this weekend. But after Saturday, I'm going to be focusing more on my 7-on-7 workouts and stuff. This is a real important time for me because it helps me in my readings. Our defense does a great job in hiding their coverages, and it gives me the opportunity to get better. I think I'll resume visits late in the summer."

As of right now, Briscoe's summer slate is completely open. The All-Conference selection knows he would like to make some unofficial visits, but most likely will avoid camps and combines.
