Roderick Trice Profile

Roderick Trice, a 6-4 sophomore from Georgia Perimeter (GA) CC, will sign with South Carolina after visiting the campus this weekend. He had previously visited Ohio Stste, Minnesota and Baylor. Trice lead the Jaguars to their second straight appearance in the NJCAA Tournament and a 29-5 record this season. Trice was named Region 17 Player of the Year and made the NJCAA All-Tournament team in 2003. He averaged 20.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season. He is a native of Swainsboro, Georgia, which is 150 miles from Columbia.

Antoine Tisby has also committed and signed with South Carolina. Premium Members of Gamecock Insider who attended the chat last Tuesday were made aware of Tisby's plans, and his signing has now been confirmed. To read more about Tisby, Click Here.

Trice and Tisby (pictured above) would be the third and fourth signees for South Carolina. Dwayne Day, a 6-6 shooting guard from Mt. Vernon (GA) Montgomery County and Steve McDowell, 5-11 point guard from Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy.

South Carolina finished 23-11 this past season, compared to 12-16 in 2003. The Gamecocks finished as the seventh most improved team in the country and made the NCAA Tournament, losing to Memphis in the first round and adnvacing to the SEC Tournament semi-finals appearance.
