Thomas James of Goose Creek (SC) High School has flown under the radar for the most part of this recruiting season, but that is likely to change as he starting to receive interest from some of the top colleges on the Atlantic Coast. The defensive end earned second team All-Region honors as a junior after piling up 62 tackles and 8 sacks.
"I've been getting mail from South Carolina, North Carolina, Clemson, Auburn, and SC State. SC State has offered me a scholarship," says the 6-foot-3, 249-pounder. "North Carolina sends me the most letters."
James is looking at location and a college that offers his major of landscape architecture as deciding factors on which college he will attend.
"I don't have any favorites now, but South Carolina was my favorite team growing up. I'm going to wait until after my season before I make a decision."
