Antwan Gamble Profile
Lakewood (SC) defensive back Antwann Gamble is a prospect to become more familiar with over the coming months. He racked up 87 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 2 sacks, 8 quarterback pressures, and one interception as a junior. He has not received the publicity of teammate and close friend J.C. Neal, but that is likely to change over the coming months.
"South Carolina, Clemson, Maryland, Duke, NC State, and North Carolina are showing me interest," said the 5-foot-11, 173-pounder who ran a 4.43 40 at a recent combine. "I'll give anybody a chance that is recruiting me, I'm open to everyone. A lot of the schools are recruiting me as a cornerback. They like my size and think I'll match up against the taller receivers."
Gamble has not received any offers to date, but one ACC school might step up and offer the standout in the near future.
"The Duke coach said that he was thinking about offering me."
Gamble is looking at academics, distance from home and college with a good tradition as deciding factors. He has a 3.0 GPA and plans to take the SAT in early June.
