Marcus Davis Profile
Albermarle (N.C.) running back Marcus Davis rushed 230 times for 1,996 yards, and 33 touchdowns and led the way for the Patriots third consecutive state championship. He has not received any offers at this time, but a good performance at an upcoming combine could really help his chances.
"I'm going to the D-1 football camp at UNC-Charlotte on June 25-27," said the 5-foot-9, 185-pounder. "There will be a lot of college coaches there, so hopefully I'll get their attention. Whoever offers me first is going to mean a lot to me."
Maryland, Notre Dame, and Alabama have not sent Davis any mail in a few weeks, but three colleges remain in constant contact with the All-State back.
"South Carolina, Wake Forest, and North Carolina still send me mail. I went to South Carolina for their spring game. I've been feeling South Carolina since I went there. I was thinking to myself that this could be home one-day."
However Davis is not ready to go on record with the Gamecocks as his leader.
"I'm pretty open to anybody. Everybody is pretty much the same right now."
