Casaan Breeden Profile
Casaan Breeden, a slender 6-8, 185-pound power forward from Marlboro County H.S. in Bennettsville, S.C., has the length and quickness that make him a difficult matchup for other big men. Even though he has a small forward's build and could be a capable defender on the wing, Breeden doesn't yet have the ball handling or shooting skills to play facing the basket on the major college level. "I have been offered scholarships by Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, N.C. State, Wake Forest, St. Joseph's, St. John's, Georgia, South Carolina, DePaul and Tennessee," Breeden said.
He's unofficially visited South Carolina, Wake Forest and North Carolina. Breeden averaged 16 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks per game this past season at Marlboro County, where he played alongside Georgia Tech recruit Ra'sean Dickey.
In the classroom, Breeden said he carries a 2.8 GPA but missed qualifying on his first crack at the SAT. His summer itinerary will include a pitstop at the Nike All-American Camp and events with the Ravens.
