Sergio Render Profile
Sergio Render had offers from Virginia Tech and Florida State back in the Spring. Since then he has added offers from South Carolina and Mississippi State.
Renders says, "I am still getting a lot of mail from ACC and SEC schools along with some others. Indiana and Oklahoma are recruiting me very hard and they may offer soon."
Sergio has spent his summer working out and going through drills with teammates.
"I have been working out four or five times a week. I have upped my bench to 410 pounds over the last month."
"I will finish out my summer going to Tallahassee to camp at Florida State. I am really looking forward to heading down there. I want to see the campus, work out for the Coaches, and go up against good competition too."
"The four schools that have offered me are my favorites right now. I don't have any certain time in mind to commit...just when the time feels right I'll go ahead and do it."
Sergio is a big, athletic lineman that is going into just his second season on the Offensive Line. He had 63 flatback (pancake) blocks last year and wants to improve on those numbers this year. 63 is the school record, so he wants to break his own record in 2004.
He will have a chance to block a great defensive unit in Lagrange to start the season on August 20, 2004.
